Engineering Project Manager (PMP, NPI) - Summary
- Lead and manage engineering-focused, cross-functional product development programs from concept through commercialization.
- Coordinate structured stage-gate processes to ensure project milestones are achieved and governance standards are met.
- Integrate efforts across technical and operational teams including engineering, R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive new product development and product launch initiatives through the full development lifecycle.
- Oversee structured product development and stage-gate processes, ensuring each milestone is met and all stakeholders are aligned with project governance requirements.
- Coordinate and facilitate collaboration across engineering, R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, testing, and operations departments.
- Develop and manage integrated project schedules that align with product commercialization and launch timelines.
- Identify and mitigate program risks related to schedule, technical execution, cost, quality, and supply chain readiness.
- Facilitate key program reviews, design reviews, launch readiness checkpoints, and provide executive-level updates on project status.
- Support prototype builds, validation testing, pilot production activities, and industrialization efforts to ensure effective transition from design to manufacture.
- Ensure alignment between product design and manufacturing capabilities, including design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) considerations.
- Track, analyze, and report on critical program metrics related to quality, engineering maturity, timing, and launch readiness.
- Drive issue resolution and support decision-making processes across technical and operational teams.
- Oversee engineering change management processes, scope management, and requirements traceability.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance product development and program execution effectiveness.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience leading engineering, product development, or New Product Introduction (NPI) programs within a manufacturing or technical environment.
- Demonstrated expertise managing stage-gate or structured product development methodologies.
- Strong background in engineering and manufacturing environments, with a clear understanding of product development lifecycles, validation processes, and industrialization activities.
- Proven ability to manage complex technical programs involving multiple dependencies and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience facilitating project governance, risk management, and executive reporting.
