The Endocrinologist (MD/DO) plays a pivotal role in managing diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and other metabolic disorders, with an emphasis on the geriatric population. Endocrinologist (MD/DO) - Summary- Outpatient consultative and longitudinal care for endocrine and metabolic disorders
- Value-based care model with a focus on proactive disease management
- Clinic-based setting, minimal hospital rounding
- Multidisciplinary support team: medical assistants, schedulers, referral specialists, social workers, pharmacists, and additional specialty providers
- Diagnose and manage diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and other metabolic/endocrine disorders
- Develop, implement, and oversee individualized treatment plans
- Order and interpret laboratory, imaging, and other diagnostic tests
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medication adherence, and technology (such as CGMs and insulin pumps)
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical protocol development
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes

- MD or DO degree required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism
- Internal Medicine background required
- Previous clinical experience (not open to current fellows)
- Active medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
- DEA license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience in value-based care preferred, not required
- Demonstrated expertise with diabetes management, including CGMs and insulin pumps
- Experience working with geriatric or complex chronic patient populations
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Commitment to proactive, preventive, and compassionate care
