As an Emergency Room Registered Nurse, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients experiencing a wide range of acute and emergent medical conditions. Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) - Summary
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to patients in a busy emergency department setting
- Utilize expertise in multiple specialties to assess, treat, and support patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatrics
- Work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Respond promptly to acute and emergent situations, utilizing advanced clinical skills and sound judgment
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and triage based on acuity and presenting symptoms
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols and guidelines
- Monitor vital signs, interpret diagnostic tests, and document all aspects of patient care accurately
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team
- Implement and evaluate individualized care plans for diverse patient populations
- Provide patient education and emotional support, addressing concerns and promoting understanding
- Participate in trauma and code response teams as needed
- Maintain compliance with infection control, patient safety, and regulatory requirements
- Mentor and support less experienced staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active and current RN license
- Minimum of two years of recent acute care nursing experience, with at least one year in travel nursing
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, with proof of hands-on training
- MAB or CPI certification required
- NIHSS certification (must be renewed annually)
- Experience in high-acuity facilities and/or Level II trauma settings
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts as part of a three-shift weekly schedule
