Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) - Summary
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity emergency department setting
- Utilize expertise across multiple specialties including trauma, pediatrics, and cardiology
- Deliver care to patients of all ages, from newborns through geriatrics
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Duties & Responsibilities
- Rapid assessment and triage of incoming patients to determine care priorities
- Administer medications, initiate IV lines, and monitor patient responses
- Assist with emergency procedures, resuscitation, and stabilization of critically ill or injured patients
- Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic health record
- Communicate effectively with physicians, allied health professionals, patients, and families
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, post-discharge care, and available resources
- Adhere to protocols for infection prevention and safety standards
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training as required by facility standards

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active and current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of two years of acute care or relevant nursing experience
- At least one year of travel nursing experience required
- Current certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), MAB/CPI (Management of Assaultive Behavior/Crisis Prevention Intervention) with proof of hands-on training
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification, renewed annually
- Experience in high-acuity, Level II Trauma facilities preferred
