Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) - Summary
- Delivers high-quality, evidence-based nursing care in the Emergency Department and Telemetry settings
- Functions as an integral member of the healthcare team, responding promptly to acute patient needs
- Maintains compliance with EMTALA, HIPAA, and other regulatory standards

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
- Deliver direct patient care within the Emergency Department scope of practice
- Provide professional nursing standards in Telemetry care as required
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
- Communicate clinical changes, diagnostic results, and symptomatology to physicians promptly
- Educate and support patients and their families, ensuring understanding of care plans and treatments
- Guide and mentor supporting nursing personnel
- Maintain strict compliance with EMTALA, HIPAA privacy standards, and mandatory reporting protocols
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the department

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active and valid State Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP/MAB) training
- Preferred: National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification and up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination/boosters
- Strong clinical skills in emergency and telemetry care
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
