Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) - Summary
- Provide comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department setting.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care within the scope of Emergency Department (ED) and Telemetry best practices.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and identify changes in patient conditions.
- Initiate emergency interventions and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, discharge instructions, and preventive health measures.
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly in the electronic health record.
- Communicate effectively with physicians regarding diagnostic results, treatment plans, and clinical changes.
- Guide the activities of support staff to ensure safe and effective patient care delivery.
- Adhere to all regulatory requirements, including EMTALA, HIPAA, and mandatory reporting protocols for abuse or neglect.
- Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
- BVP (MAB) safety training required.
- Preferred qualifications include NIHSS (Stroke Certification) and up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination/boosters.
