The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) must demonstrate strong clinical skills across multiple disciplines including pediatrics, obstetrics, cardiology, trauma, orthopedics, oncology, infectious disease, and psychiatry. This role requires the ability to rapidly assess patients, initiate appropriate interventions, and work collaboratively with physicians, respiratory therapists, social workers, and other members of the healthcare team. The successful candidate will be able to navigate the complexities of Level II Trauma environments and manage acute medical emergencies efficiently while maintaining composure and professionalism.
As an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN), your responsibilities will include triaging patients upon arrival, collecting and recording patient histories, performing head-to-toe assessments, administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient responses, and documenting care accurately. Qualifications for the Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) position include a current and valid RN license, a minimum of two years' acute care or relevant nursing experience, at least one year of travel nursing experience, and current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Candidates must also hold MAB or CPI certification with proof of hands-on training, as well as NIHSS certification renewed annually. Experience in high acuity care settings and Level II Trauma is essential for success in this role.
