Emergency Room Nurse (RN) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct efficient triage and secondary assessments for patients with acute illnesses and traumatic injuries
- Administer emergency medications and assist with advanced clinical procedures as directed by physicians
- Stabilize critically ill and injured patients through evidence-based interventions
- Lead and coordinate care delivery within a tiered staffing model, ensuring effective collaboration with LPNs and PCAs
- Maintain composure and clinical excellence during high-volume and surge periods in the emergency department
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in accordance with healthcare regulations and protocols
- Participate in regular training, quality improvement, and continuing education initiatives
- Comply with organizational policies, infection control standards, and ethical guidelines

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, in good standing
- Minimum of one (1) year of recent clinical experience in an emergency room setting
- Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association (AHA), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from AHA, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from AHA
- Demonstrated ability to perform efficiently in high-pressure, dynamic environments
