Emergency Room Nurse (ER RN) - Summary
- Provide direct, patient-centered care in an emergency department setting during night shifts
- Utilize advanced assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills to prioritize and manage multiple patients with varying acuity
- Engage in rapid decision-making and implement emergency interventions as needed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure seamless patient care and transition
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all compliance and clinical standards
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid assessments and triage for incoming emergency department patients, determining care priorities based on acuity and injury severity
- Administer life-saving medications, initiate intravenous (IV) access, and assist with emergency procedures such as resuscitations and trauma patient stabilization
- Collaborate closely with emergency physicians, other nursing staff, specialists, and paramedics to ensure the highest standard of patient care
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient updates in real time within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
- Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families during critical and stressful situations
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, infection control protocols, and regulatory standards
- Participate in ongoing training, education, and professional development opportunities as required by the department
- Contribute to a culture of safety and quality improvement within the emergency department

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications are highly preferred
- Strong critical thinking skills, emotional resilience, and the ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Proficiency in electronic documentation and EHR systems
