Emergency Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA-C) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to patients presenting to the emergency department
- Collaborate with emergency physicians and healthcare team members to deliver high-quality patient care
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including laboratory tests and imaging, as appropriate for patient care
- Perform medical procedures within the scope of practice, such as suturing, splinting, wound care, and basic life support
- Document clinical encounters accurately and promptly in the electronic health record system
- Support patient education, discharge planning, and follow-up recommendations
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to maintain clinical excellence

Qualifications & Requirements
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensure
- Certification as an NP or PA-C from an accredited program
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
- Previous experience in emergency medicine or urgent care preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-acuity setting
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
