Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) - Locum Opportunity

Join a dynamic healthcare team as an Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) in a locum capacity. This vital role is designed for skilled clinicians eager to provide exceptional care in a high-functioning, community-based emergency department. With an annual patient volume of 14,000, you will have the chance to make a tangible impact in a collaborative and supportive environment. This locum tenens position is open to board-certified or board-eligible professionals in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine who have demonstrated recent experience in comparable emergency medicine settings.

As an Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO), you will play a critical role in delivering immediate and comprehensive care to a diverse patient population. The department operates with a robust 24-hour physician coverage model and utilizes the Cerner EMR system, ensuring streamlined workflows and a focus on quality patient outcomes. This opportunity is particularly suited for those who thrive in fast-paced environments, value autonomy, and are committed to evidence-based practice.

Physicians in this locum role will have the flexibility to work 12-hour shifts, covering both days and nights, as well as weekends. The absence of mid-level provider coverage means your expertise and decision-making are central to the department's function. There is no open ICU, allowing you to focus exclusively on emergency presentations. The streamlined credentialing process means you can start making a difference as soon as you are cleared to begin.

To excel as an Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) in this locum assignment, an active and unrestricted medical license is required, along with current board certification or eligibility in EM, IM, or FM. Candidates must demonstrate recent experience in an emergency department of similar volume within the past two years. Additional required certifications include AHA, ACLS, and PALS. Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination requirements is necessary, or the willingness to complete an exemption form as part of your submission.

This locum tenens position offers competitive compensation and the opportunity to work autonomously while being supported by a dedicated team. Consistent 12-hour scheduling provides predictability and work-life balance. The emergency department is recognized for its patient-first ethos and commitment to fostering a collaborative environment.

If you are a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO) seeking a meaningful locum tenens opportunity, this role provides the chance to contribute to a well-respected healthcare facility and serve a close-knit community.
