Shift schedules are designed for flexibility, with options for 12- or 24-hour blocks, allowing you to tailor your work-life balance according to your preferences. 24-hour shifts run either from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. or 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., as well as full 24-hour block scheduling for those who prefer extended coverage periods.
The position features an open ICU with no on-call responsibilities, supporting your focus on direct patient care during your shift and eliminating after-hours interruptions. As a locum tenens provider, you will be expected to work independently and confidently manage a wide spectrum of emergency cases. This opportunity is open to physicians with board certification in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine, though ABPS credentials are not accepted.

- Serve in a locum tenens, full-time, onsite capacity with flexible shifts

- Collaborate with facility staff to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes
- Conduct patient assessments, diagnose acute conditions, and initiate appropriate treatment in an emergency department setting
- Stabilize and manage patients with life-threatening illnesses or injuries
- Work independently during 12- or 24-hour shifts, covering all aspects of emergency care
- Utilize advanced clinical judgment for rapid decision-making in critical situations
- Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in accordance with facility protocols
- Coordinate care with nursing and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes

- Active Illinois medical license
- Illinois-controlled substance license and DEA registration with Illinois address
- Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications (Merit Badges required)
- Completion of CME within the past two years
- Provision of copies of all diplomas and training certifications
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work independently in a high-volume emergency setting
- Experienced, board-certified physician (MD/DO) in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality care under pressure
