Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including nurses, specialists, and support staff, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patient cases promptly and effectively within the emergency department setting.
- Document patient encounters and medical decisions accurately in accordance with hospital protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in departmental meetings and quality assurance initiatives as needed.
- Adhere to all clinical and operational policies, including infection control and patient safety standards.
- Assist with on-call responsibilities as required by departmental needs; scheduling may vary based on site requirements.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with completion of residency in Family Practice (FP) or Internal Medicine (IM).
- Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, or Internal Medicine.
- Current and active Alabama (AL) medical license required.
- Clean malpractice and background history preferred; providers with a clean credentialing record may experience a faster onboarding process (credentialing may take up to 90 days).
- Demonstrated clinical competence in emergency medicine and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced setting.
- Commitment to high standards of patient care, professionalism, and ethical practice.
