Emergency Medicine Physician (ER Physician) - Summary- Independent contractor (1099) emergency medicine role with malpractice and tail coverage included
- Full-time schedule: 12 shifts per month
- Work alongside a collaborative and fully staffed Advanced Practice Provider (APP) team
- Position offered through a reputable, nationwide healthcare recruitment firm
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries in the emergency department
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including APPs, nurses, and support staff, to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
- Stabilize patients and coordinate transfer or admission as clinically indicated
- Document clinical encounters accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement and continuing education initiatives to maintain best practices in emergency medicine
- Provide leadership and guidance to support staff and contribute to a positive and efficient work environment

- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification or board eligibility in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)
- Current, unrestricted medical license to practice medicine
- Valid DEA registration
- Demonstrated proficiency in emergency medicine procedures and protocols
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered emergency care
