Emergency Medicine Physician (EM Physician, Locum Tenens) - Summary
- Locum tenens emergency medicine physician assignment with Optigy at Franciscan Health.
- Full-time coverage needed from July 1, 2025, through November 1, 2025.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide advanced, evidence-based emergency care to patients presenting with acute medical and trauma conditions.
- Perform clinical assessments, diagnostic procedures, stabilization, and treatment of diverse patient populations.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Manage care transitions and coordinate with hospitalists, specialists, and ancillary staff as appropriate.
- Document patient encounters comprehensively and accurately according to regulatory and institutional requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to emergency department protocols and best practices.
- Support a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous learning within the emergency department.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in emergency medicine practice and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM preferred), Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine with demonstrated emergency department experience.
- Active Indiana medical license or eligibility for licensure in Indiana.
