The role of an Emergency Medicine Physician (EM Physician) is critical in providing prompt, high-quality care in emergency departments. This position is suited for board-certified professionals in Emergency Medicine or those with board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, provided they have at least two years of experience working in emergency departments. The position is available for immediate placement and offers both day and night shift opportunities, ensuring flexible scheduling for interested candidates. The Emergency Medicine Physician (EM Physician) will work in a general and surgical hospital, delivering care in a 38-bed emergency department with dedicated trauma and fast-track areas. The hospital is a Level 3 trauma center, supporting a diverse patient population with an annual emergency department volume of approximately 43,000 visits. The support team includes Medical Assistants (MAs), Registered Nurses (RNs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), and Physician Assistants (PAs), providing a collaborative environment for patient care.

The Emergency Medicine Physician (EM Physician) will be responsible for performing all standard emergency room procedures and utilizing the EPIC electronic medical records system. The hospital provides specialty backup call coverage to support the emergency department, ensuring comprehensive patient care. Board certification is a mandatory requirement for this role, emphasizing the commitment to maintaining high clinical standards. Travel expenses related to the assignment are covered by the hospital, offering additional convenience to candidates.
