Emergency Medicine Physician (EM Physician) - Full-Time
Optigy is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician (EM Physician) to join their high-performing emergency department team. Based in Tulsa, OK, this full-time position is ideal for board-certified emergency medicine professionals interested in delivering top-tier care within a modern, community-based hospital environment. As an Emergency Medicine Physician (EM Physician), you will play a pivotal role in managing a busy emergency department that sees approximately 30,000 annual visits. The ED is equipped with 21 beds, 4 fast-track rooms, 3 trauma rooms, and 3 triage bays. The internal waiting area is specifically designed for results pending, ensuring optimal patient flow and experience. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including on-call hospitalists, surgeons, and various other specialists, all committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
The staffing model for this emergency department is designed for efficiency and support, offering three physician shifts and two Advanced Practice Provider (APP) shifts per day, with overlapping coverage to maintain patient safety and care quality. Emergency Medicine Physicians are fully supported by ACLS-certified nursing staff, and the department utilizes Sonosite ultrasound and GlideScope equipment, ensuring you have the best tools at your disposal.
The facility, newly constructed in December 2019, provides an advanced work environment with Epic EMR, including voice recognition charting, for streamlined documentation. Emergency physicians do not write admitting orders, and any necessary transfers are routed to a nearby tertiary care center within the same health system.
