Emergency Medicine Physician (EM Physician) - Summary- Locum tenens opportunity for Emergency Medicine Physicians (EM Physicians) in a community hospital setting
- Flexible 12-hour shifts with no call requirement
- Collaborative and supportive clinical environment utilizing EPIC EMR
- Position located in Corydon, Indiana, offering a balance of professional challenge and scenic surroundings
- Open-ended assignment window with immediate start available
- Provide direct patient care to individuals presenting to the emergency department
- Work within a team of board-certified physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants
- Manage a patient volume of approximately 13,500 annual ED visits
- Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system for documentation
- Participate in a daily staffing model that includes 24 MD hours and 10 NP/PA hours
- Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and quality initiatives
- Maintain up-to-date medical licensure and certifications as required by the state of Indiana
- Ensure timely completion of all required documentation and logs
- Competitive hourly rates starting at $200 per hour

- Active Indiana medical license required
- Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM), Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine with ED experience
- For ABEM physicians: No additional life certifications required
- For IM/FM physicians: ACLS certification and emergency department experience required
- Recent TB test within the past 12 months (x-ray if positive)
- Three peer references
- Copies of all current medical licensure, DEA, education certificates, and procedure/case logs must be provided
- Experienced and adaptable Emergency Medicine Physician (EM Physician)
- Comfortable working in a community hospital emergency department setting
- Strong communicator and team player with a patient-centered approach
- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems, specifically EPIC
- Flexible with scheduling and open to working various shifts
- Committed to providing high-quality and compassionate emergency care
- The assignment is open-ended, allowing for both short- and long-term engagement
