Emergency Medicine Physician (EM) Position OverviewOptigy is seeking a dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician (EM) for a full-time, permanent onsite role in Farmers Branch, Texas. This position is designed for experienced professionals who thrive in a community hospital setting and are committed to delivering high-quality emergency medical care. As an Emergency Medicine Physician, you will join a team that serves approximately 11,000 annual patient visits and benefits from advanced electronic medical record (EMR) support through Epic. This opportunity offers a stable work environment with consistent patient volume, and it allows physicians to focus on providing exceptional care within a supportive and collaborative atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting to the emergency department.
- Perform initial evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries.
- Work efficiently during 12-hour shifts, with available schedules from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- Utilize the Epic EMR system for accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and support staff, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to protocols and best practices in emergency medicine to maintain patient safety and quality of care.
- Participate in departmental meetings and ongoing professional development as required by the facility.
- Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM).
- Family Practice (FP) or Internal Medicine (IM) candidates may be considered with at least two years of recent emergency department experience.
- Active Texas medical license preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement in clinical practice.
