Emergency Medicine Physician (EM Physician) - Mesquite, TX - Full-time OverviewOptigy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Medicine Physician (EM Physician) for a full-time, permanent position at a Level IV Trauma Center in Mesquite, TX. This facility manages approximately 34,000 annual emergency department visits and is situated just outside of Dallas, offering a dynamic and supportive environment for clinical practice. As an Emergency Medicine Physician (EM Physician) in Mesquite, TX, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality emergency care within a modern facility that features full Epic EMR integration.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries.
- Stabilize and treat trauma and medical emergencies according to established protocols and best practices in emergency medicine.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, technicians, and specialists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Utilize Epic EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain clear communication with patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM).
- Family Practice or Internal Medicine physicians with a minimum of two years of recent emergency medicine experience will be considered.
- Active Texas medical license preferred.
- Commitment to delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency department setting.
- Strong interpersonal, diagnostic, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Full-time, permanent onsite role in Mesquite, TX.
- Flexible 9–10 hour shifts with available options:
- 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- 6:00 PM – 4:00 AM
- Annual patient volume: 34,000.
- Level IV Trauma Center with a community-focused setting.
