The ideal candidate for this Emergency Medicine Physician (EM) Locum Tenens role will possess board certification through ABEM, AOBEM, or ABFM with extensive ER experience. Candidates must also have a current Texas state medical license, an active DEA registration (or willingness to transfer), and certifications in ATLS and PALS. The hospital supports expedited credentialing to enable you to begin as soon as possible and covers all travel expenses for locum tenens providers.
Work shifts are available throughout the week and include a variety of start times to accommodate your schedule. Locum tenens physicians are expected to cover at least five shifts per month, with opportunities for additional 12-hour shifts as operational needs arise. The emergency department is equipped with the EPIC EMR system, ensuring streamlined documentation and communication. You will be supported by advanced practice providers (APPs) and have access to remote specialty consultations in orthopedics, gastroenterology, nephrology, neurology, and psychiatry.
