- Deliver emergency medical services as a locum tenens physician in a critical access hospital.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform all standard emergency room procedures, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries.
- Manage a patient census within a 10-bed emergency department, averaging 28,000 annual visits.
- Collaborate with specialty services such as Cardiology, Endocrinology, Pulmonary, Urology, Gastroenterology, ICU, Orthopedics, Psychiatry, Radiology, Diagnostic Imaging, and General Surgery for comprehensive patient management.
- Work 7a-7p or 7p-7a shifts as scheduled, ensuring flexibility to cover days and nights as required.
- Maintain high standards of patient safety and care while adhering to hospital protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Document all patient encounters, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately in the Cerner EMR system.
- Communicate efficiently with nursing staff, support teams, and consulting specialists to coordinate patient care.
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement and patient safety initiatives within the emergency department.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM), Internal Medicine (ABIM), or Family Medicine (ABFM) with extensive emergency experience.
- Active state medical license.
- Active DEA registration or willingness to transfer credentials as required.
- Current certifications in ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support).
- Ability to work a minimum of three shifts per month, with openness to both day and night shifts.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to perform all standard ER procedures independently and efficiently.
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR or willingness to learn hospital systems quickly.
