Emergency Medicine Physician (EM) – Locum Tenens Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver acute care services to emergency department patients across a wide range of medical conditions and trauma.
- Stabilize critically ill or injured patients and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams.
- Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently, maintaining compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
- Participate in 12-hour shifts (7a–7p, 1p–11p, 7p–7a), with a strong preference for night shifts.
- Collaborate with other emergency medicine physicians (MDs) and advanced practice providers (APPs) for optimal patient coverage.
- Ensure all clinical interventions follow current best practices and hospital protocols.
- Complete all necessary procedures, case logs, and documentation required for quality assurance and credentialing.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (EM) preferred.
- Family Practice (FP) or Internal Medicine (IM) physicians must have a minimum of 3 years of emergency department experience.
- Required certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS.
- Current and unrestricted medical license and controlled substance licenses.
- DEA registration and valid driver’s license.
- Current flu and TB screening (within the past 12 months).
- Completion of residency and possession of education certificates.
- Up-to-date CME records (past 2 years).
- Comprehensive case and procedure logs.
- Board certification or eligibility within established timelines.
