As an Emergency Medicine Physician (EM) Locum Tenens, you will play a critical role in delivering acute care to a diverse adult and pediatric patient population. The emergency department you’ll join sees approximately 21,000 visits annually and is designated as a Trauma Level IV facility. You’ll work alongside experienced Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and other clinical staff to ensure a safe, efficient, and compassionate patient experience. The department utilizes the MedHost electronic medical record (EMR) system, supporting your ability to document accurately and efficiently. This position does not require on-call or telehealth coverage, allowing you to focus exclusively on direct patient care during your scheduled shifts.

Emergency Medicine Physician (EM) Locum Tenens - Summary- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care for a wide range of acute conditions in a 24-hour ED setting
- Work as a locum tenens physician with flexible scheduling
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to maintain optimal patient flow and high standards of safety
- Utilize MedHost EMR for documentation
- Serve a diverse patient population in Corsicana, TX
- Deliver full-spectrum emergency medical care to adult and pediatric patients
- Collaborate with APPs and clinical staff to ensure efficient and safe patient care
- Accurately and promptly document all patient encounters and clinical activities in the MedHost EMR system
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain and uphold professional standards of care at all times

- Active Texas medical license and valid DEA registration
- Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM), Family Medicine (ABFM), or Internal Medicine (ABIM), or osteopathic equivalents
- Residency training in Emergency Medicine or a relevant specialty
- Willingness to work both day and night shifts
- For Family or Internal Medicine Board Certified physicians, a minimum of 2,000 hours of recent emergency department experience is required
- Current certifications in ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS
- Annual requirement of 9 hours of Trauma CME
- Demonstrates clinical excellence in emergency medicine and acute care
