Optigy is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Medicine Physician (EM/FP/IM) to join their team at a micro-hospital located on the Southwest Side of San Antonio, TX. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a board-certified or board-eligible physician trained in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine, with demonstrated experience in emergency care. You will deliver exceptional patient-centered care within a 24/7 emergency and inpatient facility, supported by a collaborative medical team and advanced resources.
As an Emergency Medicine Physician (EM/FP/IM) in San Antonio, TX, you will work in a facility that manages approximately 27,000 annual visits in a 15-bed emergency department, complemented by 8 inpatient beds. The coverage model includes 12-hour shifts with continuous physician coverage around the clock, with additional support from advanced practice providers. The hospital is equipped with modern technology, including Picis documentation, and features comprehensive radiology and ultrasound capabilities available 24/7. Board certification or board eligibility in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine, coupled with current certifications in ATLS, ACLS, and PALS, is required to ensure the highest standard of emergency care delivery.
The position offers a competitive compensation structure, including both W-2 and 1099 models, along with a substantial sign-on bonus and annual CME allowance. Emergency Medicine Physician (EM/FP/IM) - Summary- Permanent, full-time role at a micro-hospital in San Antonio, TX
- Deliver 24/7 emergency and inpatient care in a modern, well-equipped facility
- Supported by an interdisciplinary medical team and advanced resources
- Assess, stabilize, and treat patients presenting with a wide range of emergent and acute medical conditions
- Oversee and coordinate patient care in a 15-bed emergency department and 8 inpatient beds
- Work 12-hour shifts with continuous physician coverage and APP support
- Utilize Picis documentation system to maintain accurate and thorough medical records
- Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory studies, with 24/7 access to X-ray, CT, and radiology reads
- Perform and supervise emergency procedures as needed
- Collaborate with nursing staff and allied health professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement and professional development initiatives
