Shifts for the Emergency Medicine Physician (EM, ABEM) Locum Tenens role are structured as 12-hour blocks, running from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 7:00 am. This scheduling provides flexibility for physicians and ensures continuous, high-quality coverage within the emergency department. Comprehensive support is provided by a multidisciplinary team, including medical assistants (MAs), registered nurses (RNs), nurse practitioners (NPs), physician assistants (PAs), and access to multiple specialty consultants for backup. All standard emergency procedures are expected competencies, and a collaborative team approach is central to the department’s success.
To qualify for the Emergency Medicine Physician (EM, ABEM) Locum Tenens role, candidates must possess an active Indiana state medical license and an active DEA registration in Indiana or be willing to obtain or transfer a DEA license as required.
