As an Emergency Medicine Physician (EM, ABEM) locum tenens provider, you will join a team committed to excellence in emergency patient care, working in a Level 3 trauma center with medium acuity and a well-established support structure. The hospital features a 14-bed emergency department, serving an annual ED volume of approximately 23,600 patients, and supports an average of 65 emergency department encounters per day. - Flexible shift scheduling with immediate and ongoing assignments
- Work in a supportive micro hospital and Level 3 trauma center environment

- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute conditions
- Perform all standard ER procedures in accordance with hospital protocols and best practices
- Manage patient flow and prioritize care in a medium acuity, high-volume setting
- Collaborate with nurse practitioners (NPs), physician assistants (PAs), and subspecialty consultants
- Utilize Cerner EMR for accurate and timely patient documentation
- Participate in both day and night shifts, with available shift times of 7a-7p and 7p-7a
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care

- Active state medical license in Texas
- Active DEA registration in Texas or willingness to transfer credentials
- Current certifications in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Demonstrated proficiency in all standard emergency medicine procedures
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 3 shifts per month, including both day and night coverage as needed
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative environment
- Experienced, board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician (EM, ABEM) or equivalent
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, medium acuity emergency department
- Flexible and adaptable to varied shift assignments and patient needs
- Collaborative team player who values multidisciplinary cooperation
- Proficient in EMR usage, specifically Cerner
- Motivated to provide excellent patient-centered care in a locum tenens capacity
- Hospital features 14 ED beds and a total of 142 beds, supporting a diverse patient population
- Subspecialty backup available including seizure, respiratory, and gastroenterology services
- NP/PA support is available from 12p-12a each day
- Expedited credentialing is available to support rapid start dates for qualified candidates
