The hospital features a 14-bed emergency department, serving an annual ED volume of approximately 23,600 patients, and supports an average of 65 emergency department encounters per day. Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute conditions
- Perform all standard ER procedures in accordance with hospital protocols and best practices
- Manage patient flow and prioritize care in a medium acuity, high-volume setting
- Collaborate with nurse practitioners (NPs), physician assistants (PAs), and subspecialty consultants
- Utilize Cerner EMR for accurate and timely patient documentation
- Participate in both day and night shifts, with available shift times of 7a-7p and 7p-7a
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and standards of care

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM), Internal Medicine (ABIM), or Family Medicine (ABFM) with a minimum of 2 years of dedicated ER experience
- Active state medical license in Texas
- Active DEA registration in Texas or willingness to transfer credentials
- Current certifications in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Demonstrated proficiency in all standard emergency medicine procedures
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 3 shifts per month, including both day and night coverage as needed
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative environment
