Emergency Medicine Physician (EM, ABEM) Locum Tenens - Summary
- Immediate locum tenens opportunity for experienced emergency medicine physicians.
- Board certification required in Emergency Medicine (ABEM), Internal Medicine (ABIM), or Family Medicine (ABFM) with emergency room experience.
- Flexible scheduling with both day and night shifts available; candidates expected to cover at least 3 shifts per month.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical care to diverse patient populations presenting with a variety of medical and surgical emergencies.
- Perform all standard emergency department procedures, including advanced airway management, resuscitation, trauma stabilization, and medical decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including advanced practice providers (NP/PA), nursing staff, and on-call specialty physicians (ENT, Pediatrics, Cardiology, Orthopedics, Radiology, Surgery, Oncology, Hematology, and more).
- Utilize the PICIS electronic medical record (EMR) system for accurate and timely documentation of patient care and clinical decisions.
- Participate in expedited onboarding to ensure rapid integration into clinical workflows and timely credentialing.
- Maintain high standards of clinical quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance as per hospital protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM), Internal Medicine (ABIM), or Family Medicine (ABFM) required.
- Minimum of two years recent experience working in an emergency department setting.
- Active state medical license or participation in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
- Active DEA registration in the relevant state, or willingness to transfer an existing registration.
- Current certifications in ATLS, ACLS, and PALS.
- Proficiency in standard emergency department procedures and evidence-based clinical practice.
