Kilgore accepts candidates with ABEM or ABFM/ABIM with emergency experience, while Marshall requires ABEM board certification. Alternative boards such as ABPS are not accepted. For non-ABEM board-certified physicians, current ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required. ABEM-certified physicians are exempt from this additional certification requirement. Residency qualifications differ by site, with Kilgore accepting Emergency Medicine or Internal Medicine/Family Medicine with emergency department experience, and Marshall requiring Emergency Medicine residency training.
