Optigy is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician (EM, ABEM) for a locum tenens assignment, providing vital emergency medical care in East Texas communities. Serving as an Emergency Medicine Physician (EM, ABEM) locum tenens provider with Optigy means joining a respected national network dedicated to optimizing your career and work-life balance. The assignment begins in July 2025, and physicians are required to commit to a minimum of five shifts per month during the contract period.
As an Emergency Medicine Physician (EM, ABEM) locum tenens provider, you will be expected to manage a broad spectrum of emergency presentations, demonstrate adaptability in varied facility settings, and engage collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. The system comprises five facilities, with locum assignments focused exclusively at Kilgore and Marshall locations.
Applicants must meet specific board certification and residency requirements to ensure the highest standard of emergency care. Kilgore accepts candidates with ABEM or ABFM/ABIM with emergency experience, while Marshall requires ABEM board certification. Alternative boards such as ABPS are not accepted. For non-ABEM board-certified physicians, current ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required. ABEM-certified physicians are exempt from this additional certification requirement. Residency qualifications differ by site, with Kilgore accepting Emergency Medicine or Internal Medicine/Family Medicine with emergency department experience, and Marshall requiring Emergency Medicine residency training.
