Shifts are available on both day and night schedules (7a-7p or 7p-7a), and there is an ongoing need for physicians who can cover at least five shifts per month.
This Emergency Medicine Physician (EM, ABEM, IM/FP) – Locum Tenens role is open to board-certified physicians in Emergency Medicine, as well as Internal Medicine or Family Practice physicians with at least one year of recent emergency department experience. The hospital supports expedited onboarding, allowing for an ASAP start date for qualified candidates, and covers travel expenses to make the transition as seamless as possible.
As an Emergency Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for performing all standard ER procedures and managing a wide range of cases typical for a Level 3 trauma center. The facility utilizes Cerner as its electronic medical record (EMR) system, providing a streamlined workflow and access to comprehensive patient data. To qualify, you must hold an active VA state medical license or a compact license, an active DEA registration in VA (or be willing to transfer), and current certifications in ATLS, ACLS, and PALS.
