Emergency Medicine Physician (EM, ABEM, IM, FM) - Summary
- Deliver emergency care in a Level 2 trauma center with a high-volume patient census.
- Work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team of emergency medicine professionals.
- Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adults and pediatric patients in the emergency department.
- Perform all standard emergency room procedures in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat a broad range of emergent conditions, utilizing evidence-based clinical guidelines.
- Collaborate with other physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Participate in trauma evaluations and interventions as part of the Level 2 trauma center team.
- Utilize advanced technology and equipment, including EPIC EMR, for patient documentation and care coordination.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the care team.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record system.
- Coordinate with transfer teams for specialized care as needed (e.g., PICU, major burns, pediatric orthopedics, pediatric psychiatry).

Qualifications & Requirements
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine (ABEM, IM, FM accepted).
- Active state medical license or compact license required.
- Active DEA registration in the state or willingness to transfer credentials.
- Certifications required: Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 5 or more shifts per month.
- Strong clinical acumen and ability to manage multiple patients efficiently in a high-volume setting.
