The Emergency Medicine Physician role involves working shifts that cover both day and night hours, ensuring continuous and comprehensive coverage for the emergency department. The facility features a 10-bed emergency department with an annual ED volume of approximately 14,000 visits, supported by a 114-bed community hospital. The moderate acuity environment allows for diverse clinical exposure and the opportunity to exercise a full spectrum of emergency medicine skills.
Support staff in the emergency department is robust, with 24-hour physician coverage daily, ensuring a collaborative and efficient work environment. The Emergency Medicine Physician will be required to perform all standard emergency room procedures and utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system with Dragon dictation for seamless documentation and workflow. Board certification is required for this position, and candidates must possess an active state medical license as well as an active DEA registration or be willing to transfer credentials as needed. Additional certifications such as ATLS, ACLS, and PALS are mandatory for this role.

Emergency Medicine Physician (EM, ABEM, ABIM, ABFM) - Summary- Provide emergency medical care in a Level 4 trauma center within a community hospital setting.
- Work in a 10-bed emergency department with a medium acuity patient population and approximately 14,000 annual visits.
- Collaborate with a dedicated support team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
- Utilize advanced EMR systems for documentation and workflow management.
- Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of emergent conditions in the emergency department.
- Perform all standard emergency room procedures as required.
- Work both day (7a–7p) and night (7p–7a) shifts as part of a full-time coverage schedule.
- Collaborate with nursing and ancillary staff to deliver coordinated care.
- Document patient encounters using EPIC EMR with Dragon dictation.
- Participate in expedited credentialing and onboarding processes.
- Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and clinical protocols.
