As an Emergency Medicine Physician (EM, ABEM, ABFM, ABIM), you will be responsible for managing a diverse range of emergency medical cases, working alongside experienced support staff including MAs, RNs, and advanced practice providers (NPs/PAs). The hospital features a total of 156 beds and supports an annual emergency department volume of 17,400 visits. You will benefit from 24-hour physician coverage and 10 hours per day of additional NP/PA support, ensuring comprehensive patient care at all times.
The role is open to physicians board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine, as well as those with ABIM or ABFM certification who have at least two years of emergency department experience. Third-year residents are also welcome to apply. Candidates must hold an active state medical license or qualify for an Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) license. Additionally, an active DEA license (or a willingness to transfer one) and certifications in ACLS and PALS are required. The hospital uses the EPIC electronic medical records system, so familiarity with this platform is beneficial.
The locum tenens assignment offers flexible shift options, including 12-hour day or night shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a). Physicians should be able to commit to a minimum of eight shifts per month, with opportunities for ongoing scheduling.
