With approximately 30% of patients arriving via EMS and about 22% being admitted, the environment is stimulating and provides a rewarding challenge for those experienced in emergency medicine. The hospital is equipped to handle general trauma and stabilization, with severe trauma cases transferred to a tertiary facility. You will have access to robust support staff, including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, scribes, and backup from most medical specialties on-site.
Emergency Medicine Physicians (EM, ABEM, ABFM) in this role are expected to maintain a flexible schedule, with coverage needs including a variety of day, evening, and overnight shifts throughout the week. The facility uses the EPIC electronic medical record system, streamlining documentation and patient management. - Flexible and reliable, able to cover a minimum of 5 shifts per month
