Emergency Medicine Physician (EM, ABEM) opportunities are now available for dedicated healthcare professionals seeking locum tenens positions. This role is designed for board-certified physicians specializing in emergency medicine, with options for those holding ABEM certification or ABIM/ABFM credentials combined with substantial emergency department experience. As an Emergency Medicine Physician, you will play a critical role in acute care delivery, ensuring patients receive rapid, high-quality treatment in a community hospital environment. The Emergency Medicine Physician position is currently open for immediate start and ongoing coverage. Candidates will manage a variety of acute cases across 33 emergency department beds and three triage rooms, within a Level 3 trauma center. The hospital is equipped with advanced trauma capabilities and includes 13 cardiac-monitor beds, supporting the comprehensive care required for a diverse patient population. With an annual patient volume of approximately 50,000, the role promises ongoing professional engagement and development in a fast-paced environment.

Physicians in this role will utilize the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system and perform all standard emergency room procedures. The hospital’s multidisciplinary care team includes medical assistants (MA), registered nurses (RN), nurse practitioners (NP), and physician assistants (PA). Multiple specialty backups are available, ensuring comprehensive patient support and multidisciplinary collaboration. The setting fosters seamless care transitions and provides ample resources for efficient diagnosis, treatment, and patient management.

Applicants must hold an active state medical license and DEA license, or be willing to obtain one. Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required. Onboarding is expedited, enabling new team members to begin contributing as soon as possible. The facility covers travel expenses, ensuring a smooth transition for locum tenens providers.
