Located near Lafayette, IN, the hospital is a recognized Level 3 trauma center, offering a collegial work environment with a focus on patient-centered care. Physicians will benefit from working alongside experienced MAs, RNs, and NP/PAs, as well as having access to specialty back-ups when needed. The facility’s emergency department includes 33 beds, 3 triage rooms, and advanced diagnostic and therapeutic resources. The annual emergency department census reaches approximately 50,000 patient visits, ensuring a diverse range of clinical presentations and opportunities for continuous learning and professional growth. Physicians will utilize the EPIC electronic medical records system, promoting efficient documentation and seamless communication among care providers.
The Emergency Medicine Physician (EM, ABEM) must be board certified, with preference given to those certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM). Candidates certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) with a minimum of five years’ dedicated emergency department experience are also welcome to apply. To meet credentialing requirements, applicants must hold an active Indiana state license and have an active DEA registration in Indiana or be willing to transfer. Certifications in ACLS and PALS are mandatory. The hospital supports care providers by covering travel expenses and facilitating an expedited onboarding process for a prompt start date.
