Emergency Medicine Physicians (EM, ABEM) in this facility are expected to demonstrate excellence in patient care for a diverse range of emergency cases, including trauma, stroke alerts, cardiac emergencies, and critical care stabilization. The emergency department is equipped with 42 beds and sees an average annual volume of 24,000 patients, translating to roughly 66 patients daily. Physicians are supported by advanced practice providers with 10 hours of daily NP/PA coverage, ensuring a collaborative environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.
To qualify for this Emergency Medicine Physician (EM, ABEM) role, candidates must hold an active medical license, appropriate board certification (ABEM, ABFM, or ABIM with relevant experience), and current certifications in ATLS and ACLS. Experience with Meditech EMR systems and the ability to perform all standard ER procedures is required. Physicians will need to be available for a minimum of seven shifts per month, with shifts structured as either 7 am to 7 pm or 7 pm to 7 am.
