This full-time Emergency Medicine Physician (EM, ABEM) role involves providing comprehensive emergency care, managing acute and chronic conditions, and collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. The emergency department is equipped with advanced technology and utilizes T-Sheets EMR for efficient patient documentation and coordination. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical care to patients in urgent situations, ensuring best practices in emergency procedures, and upholding the highest standards of clinical excellence.
Physicians in this Emergency Medicine Physician (EM, ABEM) position are expected to have current board certification, an active state medical license, and relevant emergency medicine certifications such as ATLS and ACLS. The hospital features a 26-bed acute care unit and an 8-bed emergency department, with an annual ED volume of approximately 11,000 visits and an average of 31 patients per day. About 11% of patients arrive via EMS, with 7% requiring hospital admission. Physicians will have the opportunity to perform all standard emergency room procedures and will benefit from the support of a highly skilled emergency care nursing team.

Emergency Medicine Physician (EM, ABEM) - Summary- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care in a non-profit rural community hospital environment

- Active state medical license
- Active DEA registration or willingness to transfer
- Current ATLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to cover a minimum of 4 shifts per month, with flexible scheduling options (6:30 AM – 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM)
- Demonstrates strong clinical skills and confidence in emergency care settings
- Experienced in handling a high-volume emergency department
