As an Emergency Medicine Physician (EM/ABEM) in our facility, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive emergency care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute medical conditions. The hospital is a full-service community hospital with 142 beds, featuring a 32-bed emergency department that serves approximately 17,000 patients annually. Physicians in this role are supported by a robust team, including 24 hours of physician coverage and 10 hours of NP/PA coverage per day, ensuring an optimal environment for both patient care and professional collaboration.
The position requires flexibility in scheduling, with both day and night shifts available (7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.). Candidates must be available to work at least three shifts per month, with immediate and ongoing coverage needs. The expedited onboarding process allows for an ASAP start, making this an ideal opportunity for those looking to make an immediate impact in emergency medicine.
Our emergency department is equipped with McKesson–Allscripts EMR systems and supports all standard ER procedures. Candidates must hold an active Tennessee state medical license, active DEA registration (or be willing to transfer), and current ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Board certification is required, and we welcome physicians who are ABEM, ABIM, or ABFM certified, provided you have a minimum of two years of emergency room experience. All travel expenses are covered by the hospital, ensuring your focus remains on delivering outstanding patient care.
