The Emergency Medicine Physician (EM) role involves working within a team-oriented environment alongside skilled medical assistants (MAs), registered nurses (RNs), and advanced practice providers such as nurse practitioners (NPs) and physician assistants (PAs). The emergency department features 14 beds and 5 ICU beds, handling an annual volume of approximately 22,000 patients, which averages to 53 patients per day. The position supports both day and night 12-hour shifts (7a-7p, 7p-7a), ensuring continuous, high-quality care to all patients requiring emergency attention.
Candidates for this Emergency Medicine Physician (EM) role must be board certified in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine, with a minimum of two years of emergency department experience for non-EM board certified applicants. An active state license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) qualification is required, along with an active DEA registration in the relevant state or willingness to transfer. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are necessary to provide comprehensive emergency care to a diverse patient demographic.
The hospital utilizes an electronic T Sheet EMR, streamlining documentation and patient management processes.
