- Accurately complete and maintain timely electronic medical records using MedHost EMR system
- Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and uphold established professional standards
- Engage in trauma care within a Level IV trauma center, adhering to best practices and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, efficient, and patient-centered emergency department environment

- Active and unrestricted Texas medical license
- Current DEA registration for Texas
- Board Certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine (ABEM, ABFM, ABIM, or osteopathic equivalents)
- Residency training in Emergency Medicine or a relevant specialty
- For Family or Internal Medicine board-certified physicians: minimum 2,000 hours of emergency department experience required
- Current certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Annual requirement of 9 hours of Trauma Continuing Medical Education (CME)
- Willingness to work day and night shifts as needed
- Demonstrated expertise in emergency medicine and acute care settings
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Collaborative and adaptable team player
- Excellent communication skills for patient and interprofessional interactions
- Commitment to ongoing education, professional development, and quality improvement
- Annual emergency department volume of approximately 21,000 visits
- Facility designated as Level IV Trauma Center and chest pain accredited
- 24-hour physician coverage with 12-hour shifts and additional APP support
- No on-call or telehealth duties required
- Position is onsite; remote work not available
