As an Emergency Medicine Physician (EM), you will work 12-hour shifts with 24/7 physician coverage, ensuring excellent continuity of care for all emergency department patients. The flexible schedule is designed to accommodate a variety of work-life balance needs, including days, nights, and weekends, with no on-call requirements. The hospital’s emergency department handles approximately 13,000 visits annually, supported by 29 inpatient beds and 10 ED beds, including dedicated trauma, minor care, hazmat, and triage spaces. EM PowerDocs is utilized as the electronic medical record system, streamlining patient documentation and supporting efficient clinical workflows.

To qualify for this Emergency Medicine Physician (EM) position, candidates must possess board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine with relevant emergency department experience. While board certification is not strictly required, strong clinical acumen and a passion for emergency care are essential. Required certifications include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), with additional requirements for specific roles, such as Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) for medical directors and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within six months based on assignment. All applicants must provide documentation of continuing medical education (CME) from the past two years, recent procedure logs, and up-to-date immunizations, including flu, TB screening, Tdap, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, and COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption. Compliance with DEA and BNDD (Missouri controlled substance) licensing is mandatory.
