Emergency Medicine Physician (EM) positions are essential for providing immediate and expert medical care in critical situations. As an Emergency Medicine Physician (EM) working in a busy community emergency department, you will play a key role in diagnosing and treating patients with a broad spectrum of acute illnesses and injuries. This locum tenens, full-time onsite opportunity offers a flexible schedule, allowing medical professionals to maintain work-life balance while contributing their skills where they are needed most.

Optigy is currently seeking a dedicated and board-certified or board-eligible Emergency Medicine Physician (EM) for locum tenens coverage. The facility is a Trauma Level IV emergency department with 14 beds, managed by a collaborative and supportive team. Utilizing Cerner EMR for efficient patient documentation, the department handles an annual volume of approximately 8,700 visits, averaging about 63 patients per day. This role is ideal for physicians seeking a dynamic, fast-paced environment where their expertise in emergency care can make a real difference.

As an Emergency Medicine Physician (EM), you will not be required to take on-call shifts, providing excellent work flexibility. This assignment's start date is set for June 16, 2025, making it a great fit for candidates planning their next career move in advance. The position requires completion of an accredited residency in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine, with relevant experience in emergency settings. Please note that only ABEM, AOBEM, ABFM, or ABIM board certifications are accepted, and ABPS is not accepted for this role.

Credentialing is a crucial part of the onboarding process. Applicants must hold an active Texas medical license and possess up-to-date certifications in ACLS, ATLS, and PALS. All standard credentialing documentation will be required as part of the application and onboarding process.
