Optigy is currently seeking a dedicated and board-certified or board-eligible Emergency Medicine Physician (EM) for locum tenens coverage. The facility is a Trauma Level IV emergency department with 14 beds, managed by a collaborative and supportive team. Utilizing Cerner EMR for efficient patient documentation, the department handles an annual volume of approximately 8,700 visits, averaging about 63 patients per day. As an Emergency Medicine Physician (EM), you will not be required to take on-call shifts, providing excellent work flexibility. The position requires completion of an accredited residency in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine, with relevant experience in emergency settings. Please note that only ABEM, AOBEM, ABFM, or ABIM board certifications are accepted, and ABPS is not accepted for this role.

- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with acute medical conditions and injuries.
- Manage care for approximately 63 patients per day in a high-acuity environment.
- Provide leadership and collaborate with nursing staff, allied health professionals, and other physicians.
- Document all patient encounters accurately using Cerner EMR.
- Follow all hospital protocols and clinical guidelines for emergency medicine care.
- Maintain licensure, board certification, and required life support certifications (ACLS, ATLS, PALS).
- Participate in department meetings and quality improvement initiatives as needed.
