This permanent Emergency Medicine Physician (EM) position is based in a thriving rural community, supporting approximately 16,000 annual patient visits in a well-equipped emergency department with 10 ED beds. Physicians in this emergency medicine role benefit from consistent 12-hour shifts and collaborative support from advanced practice providers (APPs) during peak hours. The department utilizes Epower Doc for electronic charting, ensuring efficient and accurate documentation and streamlined workflow. Emergency Medicine Physician (EM) - Summary- Full-time, permanent onsite position for an Emergency Medicine Physician (EM)
- Join a collaborative and supportive emergency department team
- Approximately 16,000 annual patient visits and 10 ED beds
- 12-hour physician shifts (7am-7pm, 7pm-7am)
- Advanced practice provider support during peak hours (11am-8pm)
- Utilize Epower Doc EMR for efficient charting
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries
- Work collaboratively with a team of physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and ancillary staff
- Stabilize and manage critically ill and injured patients in the emergency department
- Perform diagnostic evaluations, order and interpret tests, and initiate appropriate treatment plans
- Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently using Epower Doc EMR
- Coordinate care with consulting and admitting medical staff as necessary
- Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Competitive hourly compensation: $190/hr (1099 contractor status)
