Emergency Medicine Physician (EM) Position OverviewOptigy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Medicine Physician (EM) for a full-time, permanent opportunity. This role is based onsite at a community-focused emergency department that supports approximately 16,000 patient visits annually. The department features 10 emergency beds and offers a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Physicians work alongside advanced practice providers (APPs) to deliver high-quality care to diverse patient populations using the Epower Doc electronic medical records (EMR) system. This position is structured for those who are passionate about acute care medicine and are looking for a manageable workload in a supportive and collegial setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute conditions and injuries.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including advanced practice providers, nurses, and support staff, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Utilize the Epower Doc EMR system for efficient and accurate documentation of all patient encounters and medical procedures.
- Participate in scheduled 12-hour shifts (7am–7pm, 7pm–7am), ensuring adequate clinical coverage and continuity of care throughout the week.
- Contribute to a positive clinical environment that emphasizes patient safety, effective communication, and continuous quality improvement.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and adhere to best practices in emergency medicine as guided by current clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Board Certification in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM), or Family Practice/Internal Medicine with at least two years of recent emergency medicine experience.
- Active and unrestricted medical license in Florida preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-acuity environments.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with Epower Doc EMR or similar electronic charting systems is a plus.
