Emergency Medicine Physician (EM) - Summary- Locum tenens assignment with a leading health system in East Texas
- Opportunities available at Kilgore and Marshall facilities
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic emergency department setting
- Flexible shifts with a minimum commitment of 5 shifts per month
- Assignment duration of 12 months starting July 2025
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting with a wide range of acute and urgent conditions
- Independently assess, diagnose, and treat patients in a high-acuity environment
- Stabilize and manage trauma, cardiac, neurological, and other emergency cases
- Collaborate with nursing staff, specialists, and ancillary personnel to deliver coordinated patient care
- Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Participate in facility protocols and quality improvement initiatives as required
- Adapt to varying facility settings, ensuring consistent, high-quality care across Kilgore and Marshall locations

- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board certification requirements:
- Kilgore: Accepts ABEM or ABFM/ABIM with documented emergency experience
- Marshall: ABEM certification required
- ABPS and other alternative boards not accepted
- Certifications:
- For non-ABEM physicians: ATLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- ABEM physicians are exempt from these certification requirements
- Residency training:
- Kilgore: Emergency Medicine, or Internal Medicine/Family Medicine with emergency department experience
- Marshall: Emergency Medicine only
- Current, unrestricted medical license
- Ability to work independently and adapt to various facility protocols
- Demonstrated experience in high-acuity emergency department settings
- Excellent clinical judgment and diagnostic skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Adaptable and comfortable providing independent coverage across different facilities
- Motivated to contribute to community-focused care in East Texas
- Start date: July 2025
- Assignment length: 12 months
