As an Emergency Medicine Physician (ABEM) – Locum Tenens, you will work in a general and surgical hospital featuring an 8-bed Emergency Department and servicing an annual volume of approximately 22,000 patients. The facility is well-equipped with advanced imaging capabilities, including CT, X-Ray, ultrasound, and laboratory services, ensuring you have the resources necessary to deliver comprehensive emergency medical care. The hospital is committed to providing expedited onboarding to allow for a prompt start, and travel arrangements are fully covered for your convenience.
To excel in this Emergency Medicine Physician (ABEM) – Locum Tenens position, you must hold active board certification in Emergency Medicine through ABEM, possess a valid Texas state medical license or be eligible through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC), and have an active DEA registration in Texas or be willing to transfer. Additional requirements include current certifications in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Experience with standard emergency room procedures and proficiency with the PICIS electronic medical record (EMR) system will ensure you are well-prepared to deliver exceptional care.
