Candidates must be either board certified or eligible in emergency medicine and must possess an active Louisiana state medical license or qualify under the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC). Additional requirements include current DEA registration (specific to Louisiana or willingness to transfer), and up-to-date certifications in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
