Optigy is seeking dedicated Emergency Medicine Physicians (ABEM) to provide coverage in a hospital environment that supports approximately 32,000 annual emergency department visits. The facility is recognized as a Level III Trauma Center and holds Magnet Hospital status from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), ensuring a high standard of clinical excellence and patient safety. The position features variable 8-12 hour shifts, including day, evening, and overnight hours, reflecting the 24/7 nature of emergency medical services.
As an Emergency Medicine Physician (ABEM), you will join a collaborative team of physicians and advanced practice providers, all supported by robust clinical resources. The position involves working at both a main hospital and a local freestanding emergency department, requiring cross-credentialing. For those not EM-boarded, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and prior Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) training are required. Moonlighting residents may also be considered, providing a valuable opportunity for emerging practitioners to gain experience in a high-acuity environment.
The department utilizes Meditech as its Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, supporting integrated patient documentation and streamlined care delivery. Daily coverage includes 32 hours of physician and NP/PA support, ensuring optimal staffing levels and collaborative care models. Physicians must be willing to work night shifts as part of the variable scheduling, and the assignment is ongoing to meet continuous patient care needs.
