The hospital boasts 45 emergency department beds and 5 triage rooms, supporting an annual patient volume of approximately 45,000. The emergency department operates with advanced electronic medical records (EMR) using EPIC and is supported by a robust team including medical assistants, registered nurses, and other NPs/PAs. Multiple specialty backups are available to support comprehensive patient care across a wide range of emergency scenarios. All standard emergency room procedures are performed here, providing a dynamic learning and practice environment for skilled advanced practice providers.

Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA) - Summary

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care for emergency department patients under physician supervision
- Perform all standard emergency room procedures within NP/PA scope of practice
- Manage acute and chronic conditions for patients presenting to the ED
- Utilize EPIC EMR for patient documentation and care coordination
- Collaborate with physicians, specialty consultants, nurses, and ancillary staff
- Participate in triage, initial assessment, diagnostics, and treatment planning
- Coordinate patient disposition including admission, discharge, or transfer as needed
- Contribute to a safe, efficient, and patient-centered care environment

Qualifications & Requirements
- Active state license in Arkansas (AR)
- Active DEA registration for AR, or willingness to transfer
- Current certifications in ACLS and PALS
- Board certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including days, evenings, and nights
- Willingness to participate in all aspects of emergency care delivery
- Experience in Emergency Medicine preferred; ABEM, ABIM, or ABFM credentials with at least 2 years ED experience accepted
