As an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), you will be pivotal in maintaining efficient workflow and delivering timely medical interventions in a high-volume emergency department, which serves approximately 45,000 patients annually. The position requires flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends, ensuring continuous coverage and optimal patient outcomes. Employment is offered on a locum tenens basis, providing the flexibility to work according to your schedule while supporting the department’s needs. The assignment will commence as soon as credentialing is complete and will continue until the department is fully staffed. Providers must be prepared to work a variety of shifts, including 6a–2p, 11a–11p, 2p–10p, 10p–6a, and 11a–11p in the provider-in-triage (PIT) role, ensuring comprehensive emergency coverage at all times.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate recent emergency department experience, possess current industry certifications, and exhibit a commitment to high standards of clinical practice. This role is not suitable for new graduates or those with urgent care-only experience, as the complexity and acuity of cases require advanced clinical skills and independent decision-making abilities.
